Am I the only one hoping for Skye to come between Leo and Alex? To be honest, I never felt that he was part of the relationship anyway, just a convenient placeholder for Alex Move on, Leo. Save yourself.

I believe one of your founding fathers said "I disagree with all you have said, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." While I often disagree with GBT's views, his moral compass is unimpeachable, as is his research into the facts. If one enters into public life, one should expect people to look under the rugs for dirt.

Ron | Salida, CO | January 18, 2012

I hate to say it, but Skye sort of looks like Mike. I think it's the glasses...

Brian Trerice | Kabul, AFGHANISTAN | January 17, 2012

I'm considering taking two subscriptions to the Tampa Bay Tribune to offset the one that they lost. Doonesbury is the only strip to offer perspective on and awareness of the current madness that is American life. Keep up the good work.

Alex the Bold | Brooklyn, NY | January 17, 2012

Actually, I think Skye isn't standing close enough to Leo. But I've always been a sucker for a redhead. Go on, Skye, Leo, throw yourselves into each other's arms.

Leanna | Toronto, CANADA | January 17, 2012

In the last panel of today's strip Skye is standing way too close to Toggle. Given that she appears to be hell-bent on monogamy, Alex should be concerned.

I don't understand the negative Blowback to the past two Sunday strips. If they were not factual readers could take Mr. Trudeau to task. Since they are factual, why don't folks have a problem with Mr. Gingrich?

Julia | Adelaide, AUSTRALIA | January 17, 2012

No, no, no! Don't do it, Toggle. Don't do it, GBT!

Francesca Hannan | Ventura, CA | January 17, 2012

This Blowback comment made me laugh until I cried. Things have been way too grim around here. Thanks!

Ronald Simpson | Tampa, FL | January 16, 2012

I just canceled my subscription to the Tampa Bay Times, as they will not remove your disgusting strip from their comic section. You are such a patriot. Not.

Vincent Domeraski | Hammondsport, NY | January 16, 2012

I can't help but think that as Jeff comes in for an apparently safe landing in the real world and becomes the entrepreneur that he has always wanted to be, his story might have some resemblance to that of his creator.

A. Harrison | Hartford, CT | January 16, 2012

Silly Toggle. Marriage change context.

Ashley | Savannah, GA | January 16, 2012

I sure hope today's strip doesn't mean Leo will be talked out of marrying Alex.

Terry Lyons | Armidale, AUSTRALIA | January 15, 2012

That there is any popular support at all for Newt Gingrich is staggering to those of us looking on from the sidelines. It just confirms John Maynard Keynes' contention that “capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone.”

Mike Campanelli | Levittown, NY | January 15, 2012

In todays strip the usual Left attacks continue. While I dislike Mr. Gingrich greatly I have to agree with the quote in the last panel: "As great a threat to America as Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union."  Even as an independent centrist I view Trudeau as a 60s anti-American Quisling. And he's no Al Capp, either.

Maerzie | Florence, WI | January 15, 2012

Wow, these Newtisms beat all. He really does have a sick ego problem. He has to cut everyone else down to make himself appear superior!

Sean | Dayton, OH | January 15, 2012

I wish Newt had a chance, not only because he may be the only person who can undo the Obamatastrophe, but also because it would make your head explode.

Joel Calhoun | Monticello, MS | January 15, 2012

Today's strip is a perfect counterpart to last Sunday's baggage strip. And serves as a perfect "take that" to those who complained about the latter. Speaking of which, the wahhhmbulance should be arriving in 3...2...1...

Tom | Brisbane, AUSTRALIA | January 13, 2012

The fan boys make Jeff look intelligent. Quite an achievement really.

Lin | Port Townsend, WA | January 13, 2012

At last! Jeff is finding his true peers.
